Commons Building

The Commons Building is a historic landmark in the heart of Margaretville, serving as a hub for art, creativity, and community. Inside, you'll find a mix of local businesses, artist studios, and creative spaces, including Bea Ortiz’s art studio, Lisbeth Firman’s studio, Upstate Dispatch, The Artisans Guild—a cooperative shop featuring handmade items from local artists—Honey Bee Herbs, which offers local raw honey, tea blends, as well as Main Street Jewelers and a free community giveaway corner.

The building is also home to the Longyear Gallery, a cornerstone of Margaretville’s art scene since 2007.
